Kasbah Telouet and Ait Ben Haddou

From kasbah to kasbah, these fortresses served as watchtowers to the powerful Glaoui to control the passage of caravans between Ouarzazate and Marrakech.

Down the Ounila valley to the Kasbah of Telouet in the famous and beautiful Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a landscape show the red earth, adobe houses, crops and green gardens along the river, oleander, white and fuchsia lining of small canyons.

Those Landscapes inspired Jacques Majorelle in his paintings "Kasbah Atlas".
