Ouarzazate is an old garrison town, located at the entrance of the real desert.

Your road is a succession of Oasis and Kasbahs. You will take one of the most picturesque roads of Morocco. After passing the Tichka pass (2260 m) we descend to Ouarzazate (1160 m) along a winding road through several small villages of stone. 20 kilometers before reaching Ouarzazate you go through the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou is a fortified village, classified world heritage by Unesco.

Ouarzazate is also famous for its film studios where were shot several big movies such: The Jewel of the Nile, Asterix, Star Wars or Lawrence of Arabia ...
